Dear Philip
I have just been searching for something completely different and came across this blog post. Colossae Project is still alive and well in Adelaide and Pamukkale. The link to the website did in fact disappear with a change of server but it is now back at http://www.flinders.edu.au/ehlt/theology/ctsc/projects/colossae/colossae_home.cfm
I will be travelling in Nov-Dec there on research trip for my PhD.
