Pedestal found in the temple of Aphrodite. Now in the British Museum (GIBM 385).

This was dedicated to Aphrodite Paphia (“of Paphos”).  The city of the Paphians set this up for Kallippos son of Kallippos, twice secretary of the Council and of the People, chief official of the city, member of the performers (technitai) gathered around Dionysos and the benefactor gods (i.e. Ptolemaic royalty), secretary of the city, and leader of the gymnasium in a helpful manner in the 12th year.

Ἀφροδίτηι Παφίαι· | ἡ πόλις ἡ Παφίων Κάλλιππον Καλλίππου, δὶς γραμμα|τεύσαντα τῆς βουλῆς καὶ τοῦ δήμου καὶ ἠρχευκότα τῆς | πόλεως καὶ τῶν περὶ τὸν Διόνυσον καὶ θεοὺς Εὐεργέ||τας τεχνιτῶν, τὸν γραμματέα τῆς πόλεως, γυμ̣[να]|σιαρχήσαντα καλῶς τὸ ιβʹ (ἔτος).
